Incompatible with everything
Doesn't seem to work. No mater what computer I plug it into, or what FireWire peripheral I attach, I get the error "The USB device is drawing too much power". Tried a powered USB3 hub - still same issue.

Excellent and highly compatible with low power usage.
1 of 1 found this helpful Makes an excellent NAS when connected to a Raspberry PI4. Fast read & write (such that the 1Gb network is the limiting factor not the disk). Gets warm but not hot after 36 hrs of continuous write access (copying 10Tb of data to it). No Raspbian compatibility issues with the disks sleep/wake functionality (no errors or issues about disk not being accessible for a few seconds while it spins up). Really low power (~1.5w) when asleep meaning the disk + PI combination only draws 4w when idle - very green.
Would definitely recommend this range of WD USB3 disks.
