Just Shoot Me! is Just Funny!
1 of 1 found this helpful The combination of these characters working together within the backdrop of a fashion magazine is usually hysterical. Nina, the once famous 70's fashion model, is a man chasing drunk ex-model with maniacal tales of her friend Benny and their escapades, always leaves you wanting more. Maya, the (wanting to be) self-righteous, investigative reporter, is torn between working for her dad at the fashion magazine that everything about her is completely against and her own morals and literary goals which always plays out in favor of the magazine (but it's funny getting there!). Elliot, the balding model-chasing photographer, obviously has issues that would make Freud dizzy, keeps you laughing with his insecurities, conquests and practical jokes. Dennis Finch; how do you describe this admin assistant who lives to serve his boss, loves cats, has a mother named Fanny, is obsessed with beautiful women (but can never get one - that is until he marries Rebecca Romin!), is a terminal geek, greedy, sneaky, a Star Trek fan, and the funniest character on the show? Funny. And then there is Jack, the owner and founder of Blush magazine. He loves young women, was estranged from his daughter Maya since she waas a kid until she came to work for him, loves his fashion magazine the way it is despite pleas from Maya to change it into more of a "real" magazine, who will keep you laughing with his love of stupid, useless gadgets and competing with Donald Trump on everything, and his priceless "Gallo-isms". Have fun with this show; it's great!
