    The Eden Formula
As a bit of a B-Movie sci-fi, Monster and horror nerd I am extremly dissapointed in this title. Sound recording is terrible, special effects are unbelievable. My facination with special effects in B-movies leaves me astounded that for a film made within the past five years would have such terrible special effects. Even though the Trex has been produced with a mixture of model and CGI animation by no stretch of the imagination could this monster be believable. In addition, anatomically, the posture is more reminiscent of a 1970's film monster bar the dragging tail. I have several 1950's B-Movies who's special effects are far supirior to this one. If I have read the credits correctly, the T-Rex was designed by the Director, which make this monster even more unforgiveable in some respects. This is very low budget with a plot full of holes and a very poor climax, if it can be called a climax at all.

Unfortunately this is a duff film. The acting is not too bad but this is slow paced and 99% of the time set in one room. I didn't manage endure to the end so who knows, it may have a fantastic climax but I seriously doubt it.

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. Well acting is good but thats about it. Whoever edited this film should be shot. This is a 'Cloverfield' copycat film or a possibly an original that inspired Cloverfield. In otherwords apotentially good plot that was re-delivered through Cloverfield a 1000% better, and that's saying something. The plot is basic: two American girls in Tokyo trying to get to the US embassy in order to get home. Not much else realy just lots of shaky camera work and LOTS N LOTS of black outs, which brings me back to the editing. I think the editor had a field day with copping and changing, and adding those all important black outs, resulting in creating a film that is painfiul to watch. The Blair Witch camera approach is bad enough (far too much shaking, out of focus shots, baackground noise making it impossible in places to hear the actors lines and thee black-out/cut sequences created to make the video camera appear damaged, which as said before are far too frequent resulting in a constant annoyance (at first I thought the DVD was dirty), that's how bad it is. When there is a 5 second moment of action, yes you guessed it, there would be a blackout once again and next thing you see is a completly different scene (mainly the two girls walking about a deserted Tokyo. There is very little if no action. Monster fans forget this film as you dont see anything other than the occassional sillouette of a tenticle for a split second befor the video footage (yep) blacks out again. The climax, well there isn't one, just 5 seconds of three fiften foot high tenticles with no detail (yep) just berfore the black out again). To top it off, these tenticles were supposed to have knocked the tops of of sky scrapers(completly unbeleivable). All in all I had to make myself watch the whole thing (I even did some cleaning in the middle of it just to feel I had spent the time doing something constructive). A very poor film not worth watching even on the small screen. To conclude, if you are one of those who went to see Cloverfield at the movies and had to leave because you threw up and you enjoyed that experience, then you might get something out of this film. If you still want it. don't say you were never warned.
