Jacobs Electronics - Highly Recommended.
In my opinion Jacobs Electronics made the best ignition boxes - period. Sad their company got bought out by Mr. Gasket and ultimately would up in the hands of MSD. Dr. Christopher Jacobs was a brilliant electrical engineer, and just made products that worked fantastic.
Now I have a vehicle with a MSD digital 6 Plus ignition box and an MSD HVC-2 Blaster ignition coil, and I have no complaints, as it has decreased start time and measurably increased power, However, it is a CD ignition with relatively short spark duration (in spite of multiple sparks below about 3,000 rpm). Intense sparks but very short duration each.
While Jacobs Electronics later made CD ignitions, much of their technology is based on inductive ignitions and long sustained sparks and huge spark plug gaps, which in my experience are better for mileage and power in regular compression, lower to moderate rpm running (less than ~6,500 in V8's or 13,000 in 4 cyl.) vehicles.
In adverse conditions (like river running and injesting way too much water), I have seen Jacobs ignitions do miracles in sustained ignition. This was observed on a first generation inductive unit with the manual bypass switch - so you could switch back and forth to factory ignition. Ignition of water logged cylinders was nothing short of amazing.
Although the mortality rate of the Jacobs induction ignitions does seem higher than the CD ignitions, I think they are well worth it.
The Onmi-Pak comes in several versions. The ones with the six wire being the preferred option. They are a complete Jacobs Ignition, with an integral Ultra-Coil all in one compact package.
Although there are some negative blogs on line regarding Jacobs, I truly believe that the haters never owned one or gave them a chance. The Jacobs ignitions are now only available as New Old Stock (NOS) or used, but are still exceptional values. I have Jacobs systems on three vehicles, and the oldest of them has ran continuously (a Mileage Master system with Ultra Coil on a Chev v8 pickup) for almost 25 years now, and still runs perfect. I cant substantiate the rather large mileage increase claims Jacobs used to make, but have seen modest increases. It is the smooth running and perfect ignition in all conditions that convinced me.
It is hard to find good info on Jacobs Electronics units now that Jacobs is no longer in business, but they are worth seeking out. Highly recommended.

Fly bait that works
This fly bait works! Flies just gobble it up and magically die in minutes. This is the first fly product I have found in a long time that actually works quickly and effectively to get rid of plagues of flies. Reminds me of the Watkins fly bait granules available long ago.
Do be careful where you put it, as I am not sure, but it could possibly poison birds or animals that would eat the granules or dead flies.
Very pleased with the results, and ordered more.

3 of 3 found this helpful The 970 Pro is all about the sustained write speeds. It is still the fasted thing out there for large writes. Write speeds are sustained to 100% capacity (and do not fall off tremendously after the buffer gets full such as the EVO's and now sadly the 980 Pro does). The 970 Pro is the real deal. Expensive, but you get what you pay for in terms of performance.
To me the 980 Pro, although fast for many things, is just an updated EVO. It went to the 3 bit memory , an in my opinion does not deserve to be called a Pro version.
The 970 gets a little warm doing massive writes, and because of slightly higher power use, I am not currently using it as the primary drive in my laptop (to maximize battery life and run time). For desktops and a ridiculously fast back up drive (over Thunderbolt 3), it is simply the best sustained performance drive available going into 2021. Would I buy it again? Absolutely.
