Better than my Bi/Dipole speakers
I've used towers at surround, different size (power rated) bookshelf speakers, then my favorite of all, the PolkAudio FXiA6, a switchable Bi/Dipole speaker which was outstanding for surround. Now after using the LSiM 702F/X at surround, I appreciate the subtlety of it's delivery. The A6 was very hot and had a tendency to overpower the front sound stage. If I were running a second pair of tower speakers in the wide channel, the blend was awesome, but if there were no wides, I'd have to turn down the trim on the surrounds some. But the 702 blends nicely without any adjustments.
Highly recommended!

Strike when the deals are hot!!!
1 of 1 found this helpful I've been wearing Oakley sunglasses for many years. As of late, I have a couple of Frogskins with different lenses to suit the day. These Oakley Valve shades however are my current eyewear of choice as the summer sun definitely requires major protection from, and the Valve delivers.
With the Polarized black iridium lenses and the wide side pieces, my eyes get all the protection they need without sacrificing any visual deficiency. And besides that, they look cool!
These shades were on a super sale at the time of purchase, who was I to say no to that!! For me it was win/win and I'm glad I made the choice.

Best surround speaker you can add to your set up!
Most of my experience is with Polk Audio speakers, ranging from the Monitor series to the RTiA series. The FXiA6 speakers are the best "surround" speaker a system could utilize.
I've used both the Monitor 30 and 40 in surround. As I transitioned from the Monitors to the RTiA's, I even used my M70's in surround, amped! Now as cool looking and as great as that sounded, I finally implemented the FX's into the surround spot and suddenly, a whole new sound came from that channel. Whether you're using it in Di pole or Bi pole, it creates a much better sound field, you are "surrounded" in a 3 dimensional sound.
I just added a second pair to run in the rear surround channel. With the rears set to Bi pole and the surrounds set to Di pole, the overall sound is, phenomenal!
The FXiA6 is timbre matched to the RTi/RTiA series, but I would recommend it with any Polk series.
