Handy apron
Does exactly what it is meant to do, protect your clothes from annoying splashes. I was fed up ruining t-shirts, sweat-shirts etc from cooking splashes, this has stopped all that. It is cheap, but works perfectly.

Best cat-deterrent ever !!!!!
I got this tip from my cousin in America. If you are bothered with cats using your flower-borders as a toilet, as I used to be, then 'plant' these clear plastic forks, prongs facing upwards among your flowers in bare patches of soil, and believe me, the cats give your garden a clear miss, and go elsewhere. I don't think they like a fork up their backsides as they squat to do their business!!!!! It has worked a treat, far far better than any cat-deterrent sprays or powders that you can buy in the shops. And being clear plastic, you can hardly see them!!!
