Bands used with drives for Amstrad PCW 8512
It was NOT 'better than expected' but it WAS better than 'just OK'. My disk drives are now working fine.

Very useful 'free' tape
1 of 1 found this helpful I've now bought 6 of the AGFA tape, and 6 of the BASF. The BASF is slightly more suitable to the bias settings on my tape recorder, but the AGFA still works well for the immediate purpose, and has the extra benefit regarding the edits/splices, which are better done on the AGFA (45 degree cuts) while the BASF has 90 degree cuts which could usefully be redone, when I get around to it. I've been recording from cassette and LP, also a bit of 96/24 High reg digital, and all material sounds great on playback, notwithstanding the occasional 'hic' from a splice passing the head. I would not use these tapes for original master recordings, without re-doing ALL the splices to my own satisfaction, but again, it's great for testing/playing/making copies of existing material, and of course, if I wanted to make further splices, no problem, and much better that cutting a new tape.
Very satisfied. Will get more as funda available.
