Grill on cast iron, the only way to go.
Heavy cast iron grill plates are great to grill on. These have a nice finish, no sharp edges, solid weight and will last a long time. The grill/smoker I bought had lightweight grill plates, these made it a great upgrade. So glad I was able to find the exact measurements.

Heavy basket, high quality.
The grill I bought had very light grate for charcoal and wood to sit on and wouldn't last. Fixed that with this basket, heavy duty #9 metal. You can feel it in the weight but there knocked off the burrs and ground the edges smooth, nice attention to detail. I can tell this basket will most likely out live the grill.
