cool design, looks good

way overpriced with great features
bought these and was very happy with them as long as i treated them the same way i treat my computer headphones. couple weeks in, one day both earpads suddenly came off at the same time. no drops or anything, simply popped out as i put the headset on. couldnt get them to stay on so i super glued them. works nice.
brought them to work however, as an industrial spray painter. they have taken some abuse, not peltor level abuse, but general dust and wear. has developed an annoying buzz sound in the right muff about 3 months in, however only when connected via bluetooth. radio or aux cable works fine. sound quality is pretty gosh darn terrible however, especially considering the price. all of my stereo geek friends say the speakers must be the cheapest parts in these. having to pry them back open to reconnect a speaker molex has me agreeing. the sound quality in my basic 50 dollar peltors with only FM and aux connectivity beats these in sound quality any day of the week.
in my most honest opinion it is definitely not a 400 dollar headset at all. 250-300 seems more correct for such quality, unless ive been extremely unlucky with mine and all others work as supposed to. has a really big lot of functions, probably whats causing the price in the first place, and i feel they could easily have made this a real good headset if they wanted to. however the build quality, and the kinda terrible solutions done by the engineers weighs heavier than whats gonna happen when i push one of the buttons. also, the active listening microphones are not truly directional, and seems to be off by about 90 degrees to where the sound actually is coming from. in other words, totally useless for comms and listening while hunting, or being in a situation where you are searching for a sound source.
i might sound a bit critical here, dont get me wrong, it is absolutely a fancy and impressive headset, but its only halfway there. better quality speakers and hardware in general would probably go a really long way.
one thing i really like about them though, is the extreme flexibility and "jigglyness" of the headband and the muff mounts. probably the most comfortable headset ive had on, so thumbs up for that at least. i see that the hinges on the muffs fits a lot of others too so might slaughter these for the headband comfyness and build some wacky thing.
TLDR: if you are considering spending 400 bucks on a headset, do not buy these.

nice watch for the money
1 of 1 found this helpful for the price this one is at, you cant go wrong. im no watchmaker, but ive taken it apart a bit and everything looks very nice under the magnifying glass. i was honestly not expecting this kind of quality. nothing is loose or wobbly, and it does not feel "cheap". the leather strap is comfortable. managed to drop it on the floor by accident several times, but i cant find no marks or cracks anywhere so it seems to take abuse rather well. if you like the look of it, id say go buy it.
