Disappointing.
A comprehensive kit with clear instructions, but the moving parts are difficult to turn smoothly, the crank and cams turn, but with some resistance. With the whole thing put together and running, the timing belt stretches as the cams stiffen and the toothed belt jumps over the teeth on the gears, despite a liberal coating of WD40 on all the moving parts.
Another significant annoyance was the ignition wiring; for some reason the wires between the two distributors went between the two wires of one of the LED's and also between the two wires from the jack plug. Spent a good 30 minutes trying to untangle the mess, but gave up in the end.
I was hoping to show my 9 year old son how the engine works, but not with this. Very disappointed with the whole thing; it could have been an excellent model.

Good quality item, but difficult to fit.
Good quality, well made, but very difficult to fit: passenger side; had to make a cone out of thin aluminum to slide the boot over the steering rack ball joint. The difficulty then is to remove the cone from inside the boot took two attempts. Driver's side; boot fits over the ball joint on this side, as the boot is larger to fit over the steering rack casting. Getting the boot to fit over the steering rack casting was almost impossible, it had me in tears. After multiple attempts, I had to fold the opening back over the outside of the boot and then push the boot over the casting, which was quite easy, but then had to unfold the boot, so that the outer edge of the boot is in the right place over the casting which was quite difficult again. Did manage it in the end; hope these last another 15 years. I did this with the steering rack in situ.
