Could be better
1 of 1 found this helpful Weak instructions or none at all. Parts too finely etched and easily damaged. At times one wonders if anyone has ever been able to assemble some of this stuff in 1/350. Over all, it's adequate but it could be better. For the money, considering what has to be done to make the stuff, it should be better. At least drop a dime on a couple of sheets of paper and improve the instructions. Give the stuff to someone who's never put it together before and let that person write the instructions when he has successfully completed it. Don't always assume we know what you mean. To think that photo etched parts or the application of such can be intuitive is ludicrous. You'll never get a bad review for too many sheets of instructions. Or too many illustrations accompanying them. Live up to your reputation. If the product matched the hype then the hype would be warranted. It ain't bragging if you can back it up.

This is an ancient Ill molded poorly made kit. This kit is 1st gen hasegawa junk. Save your money. ESP at these prices. Revell is 10x better.

Mixed review
0 of 1 found this helpful This is my third wooden deck and I ended up removing it and letting the molded deck do the job. Here's why. The drain/tie down channels on the wood deck were barely there. The lines representing the planks were ok. But only just. Imo the detail was not really apparent enough. Maybe with some clear gloss they would have stood out more but I really didn't want a gloss deck. Although it was raining that last morning of cve-73s life afloat, I wasn't after the shiny look. The other thing was the deck edge. To me it stood out too much. On my other wooden deck jobs which were cruisers, it was not as obvious as that long straight line on a carrier. So I left it off. It really cones down to a matter of opinion and skill. If you have experience with them, you might like it. The color is on the money. But it lost me after that. If I did it again, I'd keep my money. I will say I've seen it gone and look good.
