Cheap for a good cord

Cheap and not powerful
I got a pyramid ps9kx in the mail. I notices right off the bat it feels very cheaply made. Also, my previous power supply is a 3amp. So I got a new radio ( kenwood nx-800 k2) so I ordered a 5 amp which is this one. It will turn on the radio, but I cannot transmit on it. It shuts the radio off when I do because the power supply isn't giving enough power. My 3 amp runs it perfectly fine.
