Great Family Video
1 of 1 found this helpful My family watched this movie on TV when I was a kid in the early to mid '70s. My mother always liked it because it reminded her of her own childhood and growing up in a small town in the 1940's. It has the same type of vibe as "A Christmas Story" - nastalgia, family relationships and a heartwarming ending. It was great the see it again after all these years. Good holiday choice for family video night.

Interesting Fiction
1 of 1 found this helpful I've read some of Alison Weir's other non-fiction books about the Tudors and enjoyed them very much, so I thought I'd give this fictional book about Lady Jane a try. I was very pleased with the historical accuracy and insite found throughout this novel. While no one knows exactly what Jane's thoughts were, or exactly what she felt, I think Ms. Weir's writings provide us with a believable and entertaining tale. A good choice for anyone interested in Jane Grey.
