High quality and design
Made well using durable material and infinitely adjustable to whatever mounting surface you have. Will fit a metal euro plate or the slightly thicker plastic plate commonly used in the UK that I inserted into the holder. A great replacement for the now-brittle, 20-yr old, sun-faded holder I had before.

Very real, somewhat disturbing, and a bit confusing.
0 of 1 found this helpful After reading all the fantastic reviews of this film, I was sure it would be a cinch to make my short list of favorite war films. While I appreciated the gritty realism and visual authenticity, this movie failed to connect with me. It didn't help matters that the DVD frequently halted for no apparent reason in both of my players, so I have to conclude there was some problem with the disc.
In the movie there are strange emotional responses from the leads that don't match the moment. And there were no actual battle scenes between enemy forces. That's not necessarily a show stopper, but I felt the film really could've used at least one. Viewing Nazi atrocities and mass executions of defense-less civilians, and later, partisans executing defense-less Nazis make for memorable documentaries but seem overly sadistic and off-putting in trying to advance whatever the intent of the storyline was supposed to be.
Cast members in other "in-your-face" war films such as Stalingrad, We Were Soldiers, or even the last half of Full Metal Jacket all had me hoping the lead actors would get out alive. I felt no such compassion watching the cold representations of Florya and Glasha. A disappointment.

Unsure as of yet
This replaced an original unit on a 1991 model that was functioning accurately, but letting fuel seep out the top of the tank due to rust/corrosion leaks. With a new rubber seal, locking ring and sender in place, no more leaks, but my fuel gauge started reading "full" after the second day of driving. Even if I travel 100 miles or more the needle on the gauge stays pegged at the top. I'm taking it back to my mechanic today to see if something's not installed right, but it was working normally for the first two days. Maybe I got the one-in-a-thousand that slipped past the QC inspector. If anyone has seen this problem before or has a quick fix, I'd love to know what it is.
