Surprisingly good
3 of 3 found this helpful I play in a very busy "local" band. Every piece of our equipment is a necessary tool that helps us perform to the best of our abilities and capabilities. Think a speaker stand is trivial? Set your mains down on top of your subwoofers, and get ready to hear the complaints from everyone behind the front row of fans.
Our old stands had plastic clamps. While they sufficed, they weren't very sturdy. After a few months, the bracket at the top of the legs cracked. While they still worked (after a few zip ties and gaffers tape), they were a bit wobbly. Not a good thing around drunk people that are feeling frisky.
I started looking for new ones, and these caught my eye. There was a lot of good stuff that helped me settle on these. But one thing worried me. The height. The only mention of the height is that they have 5 feet of adjustment. Did that mean they were only 5 feet tall? The world may have never known. So I took a chance and ordered.
When I got them, I immediately opened and set them up to see exactly how short they really were. To my delight, they are approximately 6 feet tall at the tallest setting. They are very sturdy feeling, and they feel rigid with my 80 pound speaker stack on the highest setting.
Let's be real. These aren't quite tour grade. There is nothing fancy about them. They are just basic speaker stands that are equipped with nicer metal clamps. But for the money, I don't think you will find anything better.
Oh... the rubber feet are a bit loose. Put some black RTV silicone in there to lock them down.
