Great alternative
I needed a more durable solution and didn’t want to purchase the entire oem tie rod assembly for $250. This is a great alternative and does fit my B2301. So far I have no issues.

Best saw I've ever owned
When my old Black and Decker finally gave out I researched all options and picked the proper saw for a right handed diy operator. I considered worm drive but prefer the light weight of the magnesium Skilsaw Sidewinder Southpaw. The difference between my old saw and this new one is staggering, you will not be disappointed. This saw will last for many years to come.
