it's fine.
It does the job. Probably not the sturdiest or best out there, but it works and that's all I needed.

nice combo
been using the adapter and lens combo for a few days, it works great. The Helios lens works nicely at night due to its f/1.8, but it's not very sharp at that aperture. If you've got any jupiter-8 lying around, they're much sharper at f/2. In any case this combo offers a lens (and chances to attach other such quality lenses) with a very shallow depth of field, ideal for portraits, macro shots and generally dreamlike photography. Bonus points for the several mm that the lens base can be distanced from the convertor, facilitating greatly in macro shots. Just be careful when unscrewing, hold the lens tightly in your hands, as it WILL fall off at some point if you unscrew too much.

Well built, does the job, aperture ring could be better.
It's a sturdily built converter that does the job. The only drawback is that the aperture ring fitted on it has too few positions compared to the lenses. I barely get 4 or 5 positions when my lens has at least 6 positions. It would be best if the ring was freely rotating instead of having fixed positions.
