Neat Worker Bee is a solid microphone that just works
1 of 1 found this helpful Really loving this mic so far. After having so many issues over the years with my Shure SM57 I did some research and came across the Neat Worker Bee. It picks up my voice well and clearly while also ignoring a lot of surrounding sounds.
I use a brown(iirc) switch mechanical keyboard no more than a foot away from the microphone and even with clacking on it nice and hard I don't get any of it in the microphone. It's awesome.
It's a lightweight mic, but also very firm and full feeling. Doesn't seem cheap at all.
The only problem I have with it is its large flat base is where the XLR cable plugs in at and there's no appropriate neck on it, so it's very difficult to mount it to anything without something dedicated for it. It does come with a shock mount that I imagine will be necessary, but I still have to find a different mount to put it on regardless.
All in all a great microphone though and I'd recommend it if you're looking for a solid mic for speech, I plan on using it to stream and I've been using it to talk over Discord. Not much idea how well it handles musical instruments, but I remember some of the videos I watched testing that it was still pretty solid.
