it works

For smaller batches it is ok. I have never used an old fashioned cast iron monster but I think those must be a lot more efficient. Since I don't have space or money for one of those this had to do. As my orchard matures, I may have to upgrade. Doing bushels of apples with this will be daunting. yes I needed more blocks of wood but I have a workshop with lots of that so no problem. No need for oak. I used 2x2 pine on top of original parts.
