Amazing Songwriting will lift your spirits! ! ! !
1 of 1 found this helpful On first listen I was impressed by the guitar and lyrics. If you are a bit Left of Center or a bit greying then you will play this over and over again to enjoy all the incredible songwriting that may have been missed because the songs feel so good. There are great artists on this album like Graham Nash, Garry Talent and maybe ten others that should but don't ring the stars bells. Its the songwriting that will blow you away, this album is unique and if you appreciate the type of work from Ry Cooder then this will become one of your favorites.

Wow! This is as Amazing as any of Rys' best works
Well of course every album Ry has produced is incredible but this disc is off the chart. If you are curious about how gentrification is making people feel and are a single language idiot and wish you had an incredible forum for learning more then you will be amazed if you listen to this disc. I am a Big White Boy Fool in this 'hood but I scoop up as many Chavez Ravine discs as my wallet will allow so I can pass them around and be the coolest Human here. I be Coo now. I could write a thousand pages about how Rys' work elevates anybody that isn't living a 100% perfect life and now he has written an Album with Jesus that will put us in Heaven if we wish. No Musician is more amazing, you can be amazed on a musical level to listen to any album but if you get depressed study the words and float in the clouds. Beautiful and Incredible Songwriting! ! ! !
This is likely the best album ever written that you have never heard. If you buy this and play it to your friends they will be so impressed that you could find such great work. I stumbled into this and it shocks me that it isn't played everywhere I go. The Lyrics and Melodies are really quite amazing and since I am also a greying guy I hear things that lift my spirits. When I crank this disc my friends understand my attraction. Purchasing this unheard disc will be your best gamble you can remember if you don't hate Folk music or being an American. Enjoy
