Mandatory usage in the Sprocket. EXTREMELY over-priced by manufacturer.

Sometimes, something OLDER is BETTER. I'm most grateful I found this wonder
This machine is fantastic! I bought my first one over15 years ago. Recently it quit working. While I was waiting for it to be repaired, a friend found a BRAND NEW one on Ebay.
Newer copy machines just don't have all of the capabilities of this one. Finding a new one was a true blessing. It sold for about $350, compared to nearly $800 I paid for the first one I bought.
After purchasing the 1170, my old model was repaired, but I do not regret in any way buying another new model. My copier needs have been met for life.
This is the first purchase I made from Ebay, but it won't be the last. Ebay met a need that I thought had no solution.

GLAD TO PUT MY HANDS ON.
I ordered this as a spare/backup for my Photosmart 7525 multi-function machine. As far as I can see, the two perform with the same quality and efficiency. The only thing the 5520 doesn't have that the 7525 does, is automatic document feed, which I have no need for. As far as being easy to set up, I had to answer "no". That's because numerous times I saw the notification that there was no wireless connection with the computer. When I was asked if I wanted to install updates on the printer, I answered "yes". THEN I was able to complete the set up. Other than that detail, I am quite satisfied with the machine's performance. It's definitely a good value.
