Lights the flag
Came with no instructions. Has an on/off switch, why I don't know. It's a push button no markings, so before you put it on top of your flagpole make sure it is on. I left it on my deck rail the first night. It also has to be real dark for it to light.

Inexpensive fix
The only thing is check your wiring first. I checked the originals with a 9v battery at the operator and they did not light. I installed these, still not working. I twisted the tails together and touched them to terminals on operator, pointing at each other. Bingo ! Ran new wires to track bottoms. Lesson learned.
