Big DSLR gathers dust since S9700 arrived - can't stop smiling !
1 of 1 found this helpful Bought this product as I'm not allowed to use my DSLR Nikon during my daughter's wedding service! Wanted something with good picture quality and good zoom for discreet shots. Nikon ticks all the boxes and much more! 30x optical zoom is amazing, but don't expect DSLR quality at that range in low light, if you enlarge the result. Love the electronic quick lighten up effect on dark pics it's amazing. Some of the other effects are bit gimmiky , but hey they come free and you have to compete with other offerings. The GPS and compass is superb if you are travelling or as a back up aid on a proper shoot. You can tag date,time and direction of your shots automatically. Could come in handy for an insurance claim ? Wifi linking and control on your smartphone makes taking inclusive group shots including yourself a breeze,You see what the camera sees. action is a little delayed but OK . Pop up flash feels a little flimsy but works fine, unless you put your finger over it (easy to do) when holding. Have always preferrd not to use flash as you get more natural results without. On this score the 9700 is really great. On screen promps are good, once you get the hang of it. Best learned intuitively as the paper handbook doesn't give enough instruction or detail in sme places - and could be better. Early results are stunning compared to many other options. Most definately worth the money for a pocket poertable. Camera phones and some cheaper options don't even come close!

items are very good it's just the steer...
items are very good it's just the steering wheel lock is so designed that they fall off and get lost , frequently . Being able to buy spares is a good idea
