Seiko's classic Turtle diver modern re-release
2 of 2 found this helpful The Seiko SRP775 is a modern re-release of Seiko's classic 6309 'Turtle' 200m dive watch from 1977-1988. The reason why the dive watch is nicknamed 'Turtle' is due to the comfortable and classic shape of the case. The re-release comes with Seiko's 4R36 automatic movement, which beats at 21,600bph and has a 41 hour power reserve. The new movement also enables users to handwind and hack the movement, which is an added bonus compared to Seiko's SKX divers.
The watch case and bracelet, together with the durable 4R36 movement makes the Seiko SRP Turtle watches a bargain compared to many other Swiss divers that cost 10-20 times more.
