Archangel AWESOME!
Archangel and OXCART is the quintessenial book regarding the OXCART program and how the A-12 Blackbird was created and built. Lots of details regarding the program, the insides of the CIA and USAF tug of war regarding reconniassance and who really "owned the skies". Good technical information on the airplane and the offshoots of the A-12 like the SR-71 and the D-21. and what they were all about. Lots of good inside stories of the pilots and some of the goings on at Area 51. Most of all, it gives light and color to a program that many, except Area 51 and black program buffs, know nothing about. A truly good read and look into the dark side of Cold War history.
