The only computer I use now.
I bought this used because the first one I bought, an e11 was scheduled to stop updates in August of this year (2019) which it did. The N22 is good until 2022 so I will get some use from it before the little screen says 'Time to upgrade".

no available linux driver for this device.. Falsely advertised.
It claimed to be linux compatible, but it is a realtek device and doesn't have a driver available in linux.

IBM R50e. A marvelous machine.
I already owned an IBM R51 laptop and was very happy with it. I bought this one simply because it was an extremely good deal price wise. I love this laptop.
The R51 has both a touch pad and one of those little joy stick type mouse sticks. This is a pain in the a** when you try to use it because I keep resting my hand on the touch pad while moving the stick. The R50e has only the joy stick (which I like to use) and is more stable.I am looking around on the web trying to learn how to disable the touchpad, but I'm sure most people could choose which ever they like.
The R50e came with 1GB of ram and a 1.6 Ghz processor, so it will run Windows 7 when I get around to buying a copy. Right now I am pleased with the Windows xp and with the way the laptop handles programs and wireless internet. It is fast and smooth and well built.
The retail on this laptop when new was $4800.00, which means that there was a $4670.00 price reduction on the device. I am well pleased with my purchase.
