Croton is a Contender.
In the world of moderately priced stylish watches----Invicta leads the pack in popularity and likely in sales figures. They really pioneered the oversized case size and wide variety of colors, styles, movements----you name it. But there are alternatives----Aragon (formerly Android). Swiss Legend (recently rumored to be out of business or reorganizing). And another one is Croton----an established and historic name in timepieces.
Here we have the Deep Sea divers watch by Croton. It's big and beefy, with a super comfortable silicone strap that appears to be very nice quality. It's a bold dial and oversized case----nice weight to it too. This rivals the Invicta Pro Diver or Grand Diver for size and style. I love the shade of blue Croton went with here. It's a Japanese quartz movement. I haven't researched, but if Croton isn't currently offering an automatic in this model, they really should.
The contrast of the optic white numbers on the bright royal blue face is excellent.
Croton seems to be getting active again with a marketing effort, selling on shopping channels----bringing out new models----and that's a great thing. We need a lot of competition in this segment. I hate to see Swiss Legend struggling and maybe gone. They made some nice pieces. Sure, you can buy "better" watches----Omega, higher end Seikos, higher end Citizens...but there's something to be said for watches in the sub $300.00 range that are large, with good quality materials and reliable, durable movements----and a flare that some of the higher end watches are too conservative to venture into. We need to keep these competitors healthy and challenging each other. That helps bring very nice pieces like this to market at VERY affordable prices. Highly recommended.

Only on E-bay---this type of value!
6 of 6 found this helpful Basically, E-Bay gives you a chance to get a premium digital camera that sold for close to $1000.00 a few years ago, for under $100.00 most of the time. The Sony DSC-S75, like the other higher-end Sonys, features a Carl Zeiss lens. I've found these lenses to be the best ones available on consumer digital cameras. Hats off to Sony for the Zeiss lens. The camera body is solid metal and durable rubber grips are added. This is not a lightweight pocket camera, but it is not a cinder block monstrosity either. It's 3.3 Megs are enough for beautiful standard sized photos and even crystal clear enlargements up to 8" x 10." We use many digital cameras at work and simply put, I've started buying these Sonys from E-Bay rather than new cameras from other sources. The camera is pretty easy to use and understand---and like I said, the photos are clearly superior to most new digitals that sell for under $300.00. Don't be fooled by thinking a newer camera with 6.0 or higher megapixels will outperform this one. For most normal use, you'll find the Sony DSC-S75 takes pictures that are more brilliant and it's because the expensive lens and flash capabilities are more important than more pixels---unless you plan on blowing up photos into posters.

Best. Invicta. Design. Ever.
The Subaqua Scuba series is, in my opinion, the best design Invicta has ever achieved. Yes, it's ridiculously thick----but that's sort of the point. It's a thick case with serious intricate build---and a wonderful dial treatment. I have 4 of these in various colors---and would certainly consider another. I really wish they'd offer a leather strap and somehow incorporate a metal bracelet into this design. I have seen people (good with leather craft) make their own leather bands by modding a good quality aftermarket strap. The poly strap that is integrated into this watch is exceptionally well conceived---beautifully done----but having the other options would be nice. The movement (I believe it's the Ronda 5040D) is bulletproof----an all metal, repairable movement that's built like a tank. I have other Invicta watches with this same movement and haven't had a single issue with any of them. The depth of this dial and the way it's designed----give the watch a stunning look. It's hard to wear it and not find yourself staring at it periodically. The thickness might be problematic for some wearers----but my belief is that if you stick with it for a few days, you'll find that you get used to the weight and the rise off the wrist---and it just looks fantastic. When you find the right position on your wrist, it's also surprisingly comfortable for such a large watch. This is a serious winner. It's my favorite Invicta and that's the only watch I can say that about!
