Beautiful book! Buy one for yourself and keep an extra copy on hand to give as a gift.

Beautiful toy
This is really a 5-star stuffed toy. She has lovely color & markings, and an irresistible sweet face! However I gave 4 stars for a couple of reasons: 1) her neck is a little weak and doesn’t stay straight without some regular repositioning of the stuffing (she was shipped with her neck folded over double which didn’t help)
2) the face, while pretty, is crooked (the nostrils point a different direction from the eyes)
Still, she is lovely, and very good value for the price!

Everyone who sees this book wants to borrow it and share it with others!
This is a beautiful, thought-provoking book. The photographs speak for themselves. It is written so as to be accessable for younger (age 10+) readers but it isn't "dumbed down" at all, and contains a lot of information of interest to equine professionals, animal trainers, and anyone involved in animal-facilitated therapy. Equine professionals in particular should look at Panda so they can see a different side of how amazing horses can be.
My only negative comment about the text is that there is a lot of emphasis on "clicker training". While this training method was very effective with Panda, it is often misused and misapplied, with unfortunate results. I would rather not see more people go rushing off to try it after they read this book. The people involved with Panda would probably have been just as successful regardless of the training method they chose.
Everyone who sees this book wants to borrow it and show it to someone else! For those of us who know horses are a lot smarter than they often get credit for, this book helps remind us to keep advocating on behalf of our equine partners. Thank you, Panda!
