Floppy it is
Poseable, soft, and very "flopsy." I bought this as a gift for a college student whose school team mascot is a husky. It's great as a desk ornament or on a shelf or window sill.
I'm sure it would also be fine for older children, but wouldn't recommend it for very young ones who might be able to tear seams or get the plastic eyes or nose loose.

Practical smaller laptop
I was looking for a replacement for a small netbook that I've used for years. I wanted a Core 2 Duo processor or better, solid state drive, and the ability to run Linux as well as Windows 7. That doesn't require the latest in whizbang tech, and some research brought me to the Thinkpad X200 series. With the added docking station, this machine has lots of USB ports, a DVD/CD RW drive, and the Expresspad slot in which I have installed a SDHC read/write unit. Wifi and Bluetooth are built in. I don't care for the tracking device, but a wireless mouse is an easy addition. Speed is excellent for everyday use, the display is bright and clear, and the keyboard is full size though without the number pad. As a bonus, it doesn't heat up nearly as much as most laptops I have used. It came with Windows 7 Pro, and it has run every Linux distribution I've tried so far. I'm very pleased overall. Oh, and battery life without the docking station seems to be about 5 hours, which probably could be extended by turning off wifi/Bluetooth and reducing the screen brightness. An excellent deal for a much reduced price. Unit weighs about 2.5 pounds, closer to four with the docking pad.

A classic Dr Who adventure
0 of 1 found this helpful This one has all the elements of the classic tale, and features Tom Baker (the fourth doctor) dealing with hysterical and intractable Britons as well as a relentless hostile alien presence. The result is a modern equivalent to a Shakespearian tragedy in which we watch mankind destroying himself through his own folly. A Time Lord, of course, can rise above this (mostly.)
