Good Things in a Small Package
This is a remarkable little radio with decent sound quality for voice, sharp & sensitive tuning, and multiple features packed into a small package. The complexity of making good use of those multiple features requires careful attention to the enclosed instructions. There is a learning curve, but one easily acquired with a little patience. It's unlikely that I will make use of all of the admirable features, but their presence offers remarkable flexibility for this little, nicely designed package. The reception is supprisingly keen and clear although directionally sensitive like most pocket radios when using the FM and Weather bands. I like the fact that the telescoping antenna is shorter than many pocket radios. The display is bright with an automatic shut off to save batter life when not in use. Because I have only begun to use it I can't speak to battery life (it's powered by two AAA batteries.) or how long the components may continue to function properly. But for now the reasonable price for the apparent quality and versatility is probably well worth the risk even if the life of the receiver is shorter than you'd hope for. A good deal for a pocket radio with AM/FM/WB with alert.
