The Q1000 is currently a top tier modem.
The thing that makes the Q1000 attractive TO CENTURYLINK DSL CUSTOMERS is, it has all the latest technology. Including the no doubt soon to be mandatory expanded address system. It can handle a pretty fast line, or a slow one, so where you are probably won't matter. It has independent antenna serving independent radios, so it can talk and listen at the same time. That means it can be shared without tripping over your dear sister while trying to defeat your numerous nefarious online foes wirelessly. And at $8 a month (now) the price of the modem is paid back in pretty short order.
I am not going to comment on reliability, performance or value, because these things depend on what YOU think. Performance cannot exceed the bandwidth you pay for. And maybe you prefer to pay $8 a month forever for a FREE modem instead of $30 (used) once for one YOU might have to pay to replace, if it ever fails. How would I know that?

It is what it looks like
9 of 11 found this helpful We have here 'AAA' powered mini LED flashlight. 1200 lumens? A-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha... no. But you knew that. 1200 Lumen would suck a 'AAA' dry in 5 minutes. And your questions are more like these:
Is it easy to forget about in a pocket? Yes.
Can you find stuff in the dark with it? Yes.
Can it alert a driver you are standing RIGHT HERE?!? Yes.
Can it light a trail through the woods without messing up the night vision too badly? That is what it's best at. That, and being light in the pack.
On the other hand:
Can you use it as a bike light? No.
Can you dazzle a Raccoon with it? Not likely.
Scare off a Bear? Probably not.
Hit someone with it? Use your own best judgment.
What this is is a small, non adjustable 1 watt LED that puts out less than 100 Lumen and burns an hour on one generic 'AAA' rechargeable NiMH. I found it difficult to get the alleged pocket clip off. But perseverance paid. I put a bit of grease on the threads. I think that makes them last longer. But really, I expect to lose this light long before I find out how durable it is.

This is a great mouse pad.
Big enough. Has foam wrist rest. Laser Mouse loves it. Wrist does too. Lasts several years.
Downside, on a smooth surface, you may wish to use double sided tape to make it stay where you put it. But, once you break down and buy the tape, problem solved.
