Great potential, but poorly engineered.
The Ion Charge Time Alarm Clock has so much potential, I was truly disappointed when all of the reasons I bought it for were only problems waiting to be sorted out. I am going to list the reasons I bought it for and then of brief description of how they worked out.
Clock for my night stand - It keeps great time and has three brightness settings. The dimmest setting is so bright when the bedroom lights are off that with it close to my face, I can see the brightness with my eyes closed. Also, because the buttons are touch sensitive, when you lay the phone on the charger it can activate the brightness setting button and advance it to the brightest setting. You must then lift the phone, reset the brightness (buttons are very hard to use when phone is laying on charger, like they don't want to work), then attempt to lay the phone down again. Sometimes you must repeat this process over and over until it works correctly.
Bluetooth so I can play podcasts from my phone - Connection is good, sound is great. The phone connects to the unit throughout the house. My wife goes to bed before me, and lays in bed listening to the keystrokes as I type on my phone. Had to disconnect my phone so I did not disturb her sleep.
Cable free phone charger - Great! Just lay my phone down in the designated area, look for the green light showing connection is made and let it charge. Then I lay down and start drifting off to sleep...until I see the green/red alternating light showing phone is not charging. The worst night so far, this happened five times and I finally plugged my phone. I tried the charger the next day and it worked fine. I don't care, it's just too much bother when it doesn't work right, and need my phone charged every day. The unit does have a USB port so I can charge my phone with a cable, but I had that before I bought the alarm clock.
I really wish this unit was better, but I have developed a habit of placing a doubled up paper in front of the clock display every night so it doesn't wake me. And the problem of unintended button pressing is really frustrating.

Dead batteries.
The light and glasses arrived in good shape, but this package must have sat in inventory for a long time because the batteries were not only dead but one of them had the white crystals on one end indicating that it was beginning to leak. I replaced with new batteries and light works ok.
