A better mousetrap!
Having relied on and appreciated live humane traps, use these electronic traps if you aren't going to be able to monitor hourly, if you might have multiple mice, and if you truly wish to be humane. Thank goodness for progress!!

Sony CD500
I LOVE this camera! I had used two other digital Sony cameras before, so even without having an owners manual for awhile, it was quite intuitive to use, and in this hour(!) of tiny digital cameras, the CD500 has never failed to impress. I've used it professionally, and also for lots of fun for nearly two years now; even taking movies of live performances. Using mini CDs for media is very handy, and offers a nearly endless supply of storage, only limited by your advance purchasing power. It took me two years to decide to purchase this particular model, and I was pleasantly surprised to see not only that the whole rest of the line of similar cameras by Sony had been discontinued by then, the CD500 still listed for the same price as when I had started thinking about it. Two years after that, it bears noting that this is STILL the camera many swear by, AND its price has held up, for the most part. I have not regretted the purchase one moment, even when I think it might be nice to occasionally have a little amateur-looking camera to shoot with without drawing attention to what I'm doing. The amount of flexibility one has with certain aspects of control, i.e. aperture, speed, under-/over-exposure, auto-focus regions, flash levels, and macro (this was VERY important to me, and if you are shooting small items for sale, this is a MUST) have ALL become critical reasons I always have this camera with me. Whether professional or amateur, the Sony CD500 is a terrific all-around camera.
