Truly great for a "new on retro" build!
1 of 1 found this helpful Very nice quality kit with everything you need to do an A+ job on a TT bike or like me on the downtube shifter bosses of a 1993 steel frame (without the inner bar inserts), these shifters work on both and also on the ends of a regular road handlebar's drops like a touring bike. The left side is not indexed but for 2x drivetrains it's not much of an issue with the +- screws on the front derailleur properly set. The right side is indexed and it feels very crisp and precise, no looseness or play, awesome Dura-Ace quality. It feels quite strong and durable. You can enjoy the gear range of modern 11 speed drivetrains on a TT bike or retro build without sacrificing feel and quality. Works well and color matches with 105 5800 or Dura ace 9000 derailleurs. The kit comes with the cable stops for an old frame if you use it with a TT setup (base bar and extensions), all the cables/housing and ferrules you'll need and some plastic snake wedges to hide the cables's shape well into the bartape. It's worth buying quality components new in their factory boxes to get all the extras that make them work flawlessly.
