Sharp high carbon taps
Really nice sharp taps. Being used to HSS I was doubtful about using high carbon ones, but they did a real good job so sharp it didn't seem to even stress the tap in either bottoming a hole or drill through tapping. And the threads turned out perfect.

Clean bores are best
Butch'S Bore Shine is by far the best I've used. It removes all my powder and copper fouling faster and easier than anything I've tried before, even some fouling other ones don't. And this one is totally safe to use on a bore with no chance of damage to the bore, no grit or chemical damage. One test I read of some one left sections of barrel submerged for two months with no damage to the metal visible or measurable. Guess that says it all.
