My preferred translation
I have always liked the 1995 ICEL translation of the Psalter. This book is the I use daily for the Liturgy of the Hours. For the readings and intercessions I use either Magnificat magazine or Universalis app but I use this (Psalms For Morning & Evening Prayer) for the Psalms of the day.
The ICEL version here is easy to understand and poetic. It has helped me to pray the Psalms better. I recommend this book.

My favorite version
I’ve had the Liturgy of the Hours version by Catholic Book Publishing and used it for years. But the People’s Companion to the Breviary is now my favorite. The Psalm & Canticle translations are excellent. The reading are good, though I normally use the reading at Mass as the daily readings for the Breviary. My only complaint is the saints listed are not complete but no worries as I use MAGNIFICAT magazine for those memorials and feasts. As I don’t think these 2 volumes of the Companion will be reprinted or updated I treasure these books. I now have 2 sets of the Companion to the Breviary Vol 1&2. This set uses inclusive language which some don’t like and many, many do. These volumes have inspired me.

Great but flawed
0 of 1 found this helpful Great content BUT, unless you have eyes like an eagle this will be almost unreadable. Font is 6 or 7.... nice if your young, terrible if your older or elderly. Why do these companies do this??????
