Speco Throttle Cable

The quality of this cable assembly is first class and the delivery of it was great. However, I used the cable in the exact same way as the set up of a HZ Holden V8. This install requires the cable to bend through two sixty degree (appox) turns in an S shape to connect with the carby. The two bends added friction / resistance to the cable and it became so difficult to use, the amount of pressure applied to the pedal was uncomfortable. If the return springs were slackened off the feel was still overly heavy and the carby did not return to the idle position (fantastic with a few hundred horse power being controlled). I ended up using a factory Holden cable which looked flimsy in comparison but worked perfectly. No doubt the Speco cable would work well in a straight line or possibly in one long curve but it was no good for using in an S shape manner.

Good brand not happy with weld thru

I’ve used on two Jobs and it makes welding difficult it acts and smell similar to welding over galvanised steel. Didn’t expect that as I am a massive Wurth fan we use it as the product of choice at work and is generally exceptional.
