Napoleon 1956
The film question was an overall view of Napoleon bonaparte's life. It takes an old world view and is over all pro French in nature. Unfortunately It suffers from the time it was created is very dated in the way it was filmed and the acting style. I am an avid fan of Napoleon in general and have owned this film in the past. It has not been cleaned up so it appears as an old film that needs much work as far as restoration. The clarity of the film could be better. The color could be less faded and more accurate. The sound could be more defined or crisper. Now that said there are some really good elements to this picture. Way the story was written it gives you a good overall picture of Napoleon without spending too much time in one aspect or another of his life. The film is historically accurate. It was actually filmed on location where these events occurred. The script was good and the actors were well cast. I purposely bought this film because it had a scene around the campfire where the Marshalls were singing with their troops. It had an overall good feel that's why I felt happy to purchase the film again.

Not the exact album.
I have listened to the album since it came out originally. The quality is excellent. My only complaint is they cut 30 seconds of the first song.You may be disappointed if you are a purest like me. Be advised.
