ST FRANCIS OF ASSISI - BIOGRAPHY
I've read other biographies of St. Francis, but this was very well written, with a lot of background on the times and politics of the 1200's, yet never boring. There were times I laughed at the behavior of this wonderful saint, and yes there were indeed times I became quite teary eyed. Definitely I would recommend this book for anyone interested in learning more about the life of St. Francis, his companions and how the Franciscan ministry began.

Take a trip to the Holy Land in the footsteps of St. Paul.
It is like taking a trip to the Holy Land in the footsteps of St. Paul. The sites, the history were wonderfully brought to life by our guide, Steven Ray, who was very informative and quite enjoyable.

EDITH STEIN: A BIOGRAPHY BY WALTRAUB HERBSTRITH
Edith Stein, St. Teresa Benedicta of the Cross, is a saint I knew very little about. Her biography brings her to life as an intelligent, warm, humble, human being who influenced many lives through her devotion to Catholicism and through her early upbringing in the Jewish faith.
Her studies in philosophy and her research into the writings of St Thomas Aquinas and St Teresa of Avila, greatly influenced her life's direction to become a Carmelite nun.
This is a well-written biography, that leads the reader to the climactic end during Nazi Germany and the war oppressing both the Jewish and Catholic faith. Edith Stein was a living, breathing saint who faced martyrdom heroically and faithfully to her religious beliefs. .
