Not sure what is up, my fuel pump fuse was a 10 amp, I installed this pump and noticed a wire burning smell, Specs show it draws 5 amps at 12 volts at 43psi.
this is in a Chevy equinox with a Venturi secondary pump because stupid GM made the fuel tank with 2 sides just to run the exhaust pipe right down the middle of the vehicle. Idiots
I will admit the pump was not stated to be used on an Equinox but I figured a 5 amp draw on a 10 amp fused circuit would not be a problem, turns out it is.
Now I have to check the actual amp draw, see how many amps Im drawing and probably run a heavier wire and make sure the fuel pump relay and ground wire is heavy enough to handle the amp draw , otherwise the pump works great
