Wonderful. Everything good you've heard about this pen is true.
1 of 1 found this helpful Man. I love this pen.
I'm not one of those super-expensive-pen type people, but shelling out for this was pretty worth it. It's a very nice Pilot fine nib, just as fine a writer as any other Pilot fine. But what really blows me away is how the nib is crazy smooth, like writing on glass. It's awesome. Performs well on bad paper, cheap copy paper, you name it. Never snags on the fibers.
The clip on the grip isn't so bothersome to be honest (though it is quite controversial to a lot of folks who don't like it). Even though I grip my pens unconventionally (still trying to unlearn the habit and teach myself the tri-grip) and wrap my fingers around the pen completely, it doesn't bother me in the least.
The aesthetics, fit, and finish are wonderful too.
The yellow colour is actually a very handsome deep mustard yellow and it's pleasant to look at.
The silver trim combined with the glossy lacquered yellow colour reminds me of a vintage car, if that makes sense.
I rather enjoy the click. It's a little forceful, but satisfying. It's reassuring, capping/retracting the nib, because I know that the butter-smooth steel special alloy nib won't die on impact if my pen slips off the desk when I take a break in between note-writing sessions in class.
I have had this pen for a few weeks (after it arrived quite early) and it's still a favourite of mine that I can't ever forget about.
Love this pen. Can't recommend it enough.

Nice little loupe for a very good price.
I bought this to use in fountain pen nib tuning.
There's some distortion, but it's decent.
There is definitely a sweet spot when magnifying. I had to hold the spot on the object I was trying to see right in the center of the lens, and at the very edge of the clear plastic cone-like rim. I recommend you mess around with it and look at a bunch of stuff to get used to it.
It's quite interesting having a loupe; it made me go around the house seeing what I can magnify and examine with this loupe.
Lens arrived unscratched and it was in good condition.
Recommend buying this product if you want to tune nibs on a budget. I wouldn't use it for doing something really important like tuning expensive 14k gold nibs, but for adjusting some misaligned tines on some Lamy Safaris it's pretty good.
