Great product, love the size, battery is better than expected!
2 of 2 found this helpful I bought this tablet to use as an all-weather device for viewing photos, videos, and books. I don't know if I will hook up the 4G service to it, but the Wi-fi is strong. The dual core processor seems to handle anything I can throw at it. The screen is bright, but still washes out in direct sunlight. Standby battery life is great, I can leave it "on" with the screen turned off for days, and still have power when I turn it on.
The only problems that I have with the unit, is that the auto screen brightness seems to hunt a lot, going bright to dim very quickly, with out really changing the ambient light. Also, the screen stability is very quirky, and I have to turn it on and off a lot to reset it. This is actually the biggest problem.
The waterproofness is great, but don't count on using it much in the rain. The rain seems to mess up the screen, and while it works, you can't do much detail until you dry it off.
Its great for sitting on the couch surfing the web, and games are fun to play on it. All in all, I really love the device, I just wish it wasn't so quirky. Also, where is Ice Cream Sandwich!!!??? Third quarter is almost over AT&T and Pantech......

A decent point and shoot with some really amazing features
1 of 1 found this helpful I was very excited to get this camera after looking at the feature set an reading reviews from others. There are a couple things you need to understand with this camera. While the camera has a 21x zoom, the 1x zoom is a wide angle, so you see much more than you would with a true 1x view. The 21x zoom is from that wide angle, so you really don't get a zoom much better than a pair of 10x zoom binoculars. That said, the wide angle is very nice to have, and being able to zoom that much, even though not a true 21x zoom, is very nice.
Another thing, this camera is basically a point and shoot with a Samsung Galaxy phone attached to it. While you can't make phone calls (without some modification), the operating system, menus, and features are almost identical to a Galaxy S3 or S4. The camera starts up slower than a traditional point and shoot, but still pretty quick. It has a long standby time, and can sit for several days on standby. It is a large point and shoot camera. It still fits in my back pocket, but I certainly know it is there.
The Auto setting on the camera does a really nice job for outdoor photos, even with some action involved. Like most point and shoot cameras, it falters in low light. The flash is not LED, so you do get the traditional flash lighting effect. The Smart mode gives you large selection of different situations to choose from. The Expert setting, while I haven't really used it yet, looks like it would be very helpful if you know what you are doing.
One of the main reasons that I bought this camera is it's ability to install a SIM card and make it cellular capable. It performs well on 4G networks. If you have Value Share plan with AT&T, you get 50Gb of cloud storage, which you can have the camera automatically upload either with cellular (which can use a lot of mobile data) or wifi, keeping your photos backed up all the time (but it is a cloud service, so beware).
Because of the the Android OS, you can download apps that allow you to do an amazing amount of post processing of your pictures and videos. The screen is large enough to edit and view comfortably.
Overall, it is a nice camera, with good zoom range, and good picture detail. It's strengths lie in its feature set, mostly it's integration with Android and Samsung and AT&T services. There are probably better point and shoot cameras out there if all you want is photos, but if you can pick these up under $200, you really can't go wrong.
