Not a full windows install

I bought the usb installer figuring it would be much quicker install for the computer I built for my girlfriend. It got to my house fast actually beating the hard drive i bought for the build. Got everything ready for the operating system. It kept asking for drivers but couldn't find any. I finally ended up jerry rigging the optical drive from her old computer and installing from my Windows dvd rom.
