Bergara mount

While the product is otherwise well designed and made, it appears that standard Remington (6x48) screws are a poor fit with minimal surface engagement. I would anticipate slippage under recoil and fear excessive tolerances for a true alignment. I am sure it would be best used on a Bergara rifle, which uses different, screws thicker at both the head and unthreaded portion of the shaft. I have been obliged to shop for Remington-thread screws with a larger head dimension, which I hope to provide greater engagement surface. Plus side, the recoil lug at the rear of the mount is in my thinking a splendid feature, and I think would be quite helpful on a heavy-recoiling rifle.
