Great Protection

3 of 3 found this helpful The E25 does take AA or 14500 battery. The problem is it is NOT design for use with AA batteries as advertised. It works perfect with 14500 batteries. If you use AA batteries, the light beam will flicker every couple seconds. If you plan to use AA batteries, DO NOT buy this light. Instead, buy the E20. I have both flashlights. The E20's beam distance compared with the E25 is much, much further with AA batteries. I hope this helps you guys.
