Hidden Gem

The most common problem I run into fixing old computers is that motherboards never seem to last as long as processors. Specifically speaking, old AM2 cpus are able to run windows 10 rather well, but it's nearly impossible to find a decent am2 motherboard for a reasonable price these days. This board runs rather well with a minimum of hassle, and is quite inexpensive. It's worth noting that the original design of this board makes using AHCI with the onboard sata impractical, but that isn't the refurbisher's fault and the performance impact of running in ide mode on this board is minimal. If you've ever set up a board from this era, you can expect a quick configuration with a minimum of hassle. I am really impressed with this seller. They seem to have a good product, quick shipping, and a good alternative to throwing away old parts that could otherwise be useful.

Decent item, Spectacular Seller

The RAM itself meets expectations I would have for decently-made DDR2 800; gets you from a to b computationally with no obvious lag and works well with several finicky am2 motherboards I have. The seller for my item was a true gem, however. I ran into a shipping issue where the USPS gave him one rate for shipping, then mishandled the package and proceeded to charge me extra because of their mistake. I wrote him and explained what happened, also mentioning that I felt I'd gotten a good enough deal that I wasn't worried about the USPS upcharge, and within a day I'd received a very polite response and a credit for the postal upcharge. Probably the most satisfying ebay transaction I've had.
