a couple of slices of cheese?
1 of 1 found this helpful The Invisible Invaders/Journey to the Seventh Planet double feature will be a treat for cheesy horror/sci-fi fans but only those fans! Both star John Agar, both are low budget and both have certain charms. Invisible Invaders involves invisible (of course) aliens using dead bodies for their efforts toward world destruction. If we can't see them, we can't beat them! It's talky and has a lot of stock footage, but it's crisp in black and white and (as others have noted) the zombies do seem to have been an influence on the later NOTLD. Journey to the Seventh Planet has a much more original plot and is in color. Our expedition to that planet encounters a mind being that creates illusions the men must battle. It plays just like a Star Trek episode. Hokey but fun. Again, others beware but worth a look for aficionados of the genre.

Still Climbing but a little out of breath
The first three Mountain albums are classics, so much so they've been retread too many times on live albums. Mystic Fire isn't a classic, in fact much of it seems thrown together, like the song ideas weren't fully fleshed out. However, for Mountain fans, it should be very enjoyable. The opener, Immortal, would've topped the playlists back in the day; it's a killer. The playing is impressive throughout even if some of the vocals aren't up to snuff. So I expect to play this CD quite a bit and thanks to Mountain for the new music.
