My problem was excessive length of pull...
The stock appears to be sturdy, and well made. I had converted a Maverick 88 into a tactical shotgun, using the Adaptive Tactical "Sidewinder Venom" kit, and the forend was just too far forward when it was in battery. This stock has permitted me not only a find the perfect LoP, but has added plenty of flexabiilty!

Cold Steel Machete is very good. However...
It was as sharp as the leading edge of a bowling ball upon receipt. Four passes with the "Smith's Axe and Machete Sharpener" quickly made it sharp. (Given Cold Steel's reputation, I will assume that this was an anomaly, and that most CS machete's will be reasonably sharp upon receipt. If this is NOT an isolated incident, I would assume that this was a manufacturer's "second".) Thanks to it's overall quality, the CS machete accepted sharpening - with the right tool - easily and quickly.
