Great holiday jazz mix
Truly outstanding Christmas jazz anthology, great mix of styles and well known and lesser known artists, and a generous selection of tunes.

This one's a real keeper: great art, great stories and great tunes.
Stout's portraits of 100 well and less well known early blues artists are compelling, and the one page bios for each artist are interesting, often fascinating, with great tips on tracks and covers to seek as well. The icing on the cake is the CD. I've heard many compilations of early blues artists, but these tracks aren't on any of them; they are unique, the real thing, and great blues tunes and performances.
