This tool was very well made was heavy machined steel for all components. I was somewhat disappointed that the slots for plate that is supposed to line up with the bolt studs on the transom were quite a bit off, I have a 2006 Volvo Penta DPS-A. I just turned it vertical and held it in place until I had tension on it and then pulled the old bearing. Drilling a hole in the solid steel rod was beyond me without a drill press would have needed to take it to a machine shop so I used another driver.
